A LIFE BEFORE YOUR GAZE
What it remembers.
Childhood. A wrong turn. Something that stayed.
Fictional memories from the B2BW universe.
CHILDHOODA familiar outline
Elfefant grew up in a picture book whose pages had been put back in the wrong order. The trunk arrived before the face. The family said this happened to everyone. None of them would show their childhood photographs.
THE WRONG TURNThe missing page
One winter, a child noticed the mistake and tried to rub it out. Elfefant hid between two pages for a year. When the book opened again, the zoo was gone. The smell of the eraser remained.
STILL HEREAlmost remembered
Elfefant recognises places that have never existed. A doorway will feel like a mother. A staircase will seem to know the name. Familiarity is comforting until it starts following you home. Please do not say you have seen this face before.
